School Holiday 29 October 2025 Rain: Several states have declared a school holiday due to ongoing adverse weather conditions because of Cyclone Montha. Considering the adverse situations, students may expect a School Holiday on 29 October 2025 Due To Rain. While no new official announcements have been made, parents are advised to check the givernment websites for the latest information.

If the rainfall continues till the morning of October 29, 2025, there are chances of a school holiday in some districts of Tamil Nadu and Odisha. 3 districts of Tamil Nadu are under orange alert, whereas 5 districts of South Odisha are under red alert. Entire Karnataka is also under a yellow alert and is most likely to receive heavy rainfall on October 29, 2025.

According to IMD, Montha moved north to northwestwards with a speed of 15 kmph during the past 6 hours and intensified into a severe cyclonic storm by 5.30 am today. The cyclone will hit AP with a wind speed of 100 kmph. The worst-affected states would be Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu. However, other states, like Maharashtra, Telangana, and Karnataka, are also facing weather adversities due to the cyclone.
