School Holiday 30 October 2025 Due to Rain: The severe cyclone Montha has crossed the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Yannan between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam, to the south of Kakinada. The cyclone made landfall on Tuesday night, causing intense rains and storms. Several educational institutions across the affected states declared a holiday till today. However, depending on the weather conditions, there is a possibility of a School Holiday on 30 October 2025 due to Rain.

In Gajapati district, Odisha, all schools, anganwadi centres, and colleges will be closed until October 30, 2025. Further, students and parents in the highly affected areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu need to follow the government websites for accurate information.

According to IMD, the cyclone IMD made landfall between 11:30 P.M. on October 28 and 12:30 P.M. on October 29, 2025. The powerful winds and intense rainfall caused uprooting of trees and electric poles, leading to power cuts. According to the recent update, the wind of 90–100 kmph with gusts up to 110 kmph has weakened and the cyclone is moving northwestwards after crossing Andhra Pradesh.
