School Holiday Due to Rain 28 October 2025: Due to the depression in the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rain alerts for various states in the Indian eastern coast. Considering the severe situation, various states have announced school holidays today. Students and parents can check the School Holiday Due to Rain 28 October 2025 LIVE updates for recent information.

The deep depression over the southwest and southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm named ‘Montha’. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the depression will further intensify into a ‘severe cyclonic storm’ by October 28.

IMD has issued alerts in parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Odisha, Telangana, and Karnataka. According to recent updates, educational institutions will be closed for three days, from October 27–29, 2025, in Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry.

Most parts of Andhra Pradesh are on Red alert till October 29, 2025. Tamil Nadu and Karnataka are under yellow and orange alerts. Further, the Odisha government has started evacuating people from danger zones. Students can check the recent updates on school holiday announcements.
