There have been reports that the water level of the Beas River in the Mandi district has increased due to the ongoing rainfall situation in the state, where people can notice almost a flood-like situation, hampering the neighbouring areas. For August 1, 2024, the Government of Himachal Pradesh has warned the people residing in the state to stay away from any riverbanks until the situation is under control. With so many new incidents being reported every hour due to the severe weather conditions in HP, candidates can expect that a School Holiday in Himachal Pradesh tomorrow may be announced by those districts under orange and yellow alert.
According to the official website of the India Meteorological Department, the Met Centre Shimla has updated that there may not be any more orange alerts after August 2, 2024. Therefore, until August 2, 2024, very heavy rainfall will occur in the districts where orange and yellow alerts have been predicted.
