The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy monsoon showers in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. For areas of Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Karaikal, Haryana, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Odisha, Punjab, Nagaland, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Konkan, Goa and Mahe, an orange alert has been declared.
