Float After JoSAA Round 1 Allotment 2025: Important Instructions

The important instructions related to JoSAA Round 1 Float after Seat Allotment are given below.

• In JoSAA Counselling 2025, floating means a candidate has accepted the seat that is currently allotted, but he/she is not making it as their final, chosen seat. Such candidates will be eligible to participate in the next counselling rounds.
• If a candidate gets a seat higher than their preference in a later round, they will lose their current seat and be allotted the new one.
• Only those candidates for whom the seats are not allotted as per their preference can choose to "Float" their currenlty allotted seats.
• If a candidate does not get a better seat in the next rounds of JoSAA Counselling 2025, the seat whic was floating will be secured. Such candidates will secure that seat and will not be further considered for any other rounds.
• Candidates opting to float their seats must pay the seat acceptance fees. Payment of the fee is mandatory irrespective of the candidates being satisfied with the allocation.
• Once the desired seat is allotted, candidates must freeze such seats and proceed towards admission process.
