NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing Postponed: Check the Revised Hearing Date

NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing: The Supreme Court is set to hear a legal challenge against the NEET PG 2024 exam pattern on October 4, 2024. A group of medical aspirants, led by Ishika Jain, have filed a petition against the National Board of Education for Medical Sciences (NBEMS) for implementing last-minute changes to the exam format. All medical aspirants are eagerly looking for the NEET PG SC Hearing 2024.

The petitioners are demanding the release of the exam's answer keys and question papers, along with a standardised marking system through the NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing. It may ensure transparency and fairness in the selection process, especially given the exam's division into two parts. Senior Advocate Vibha Datta Makhija and Advocate Tanvi Dubey, representing the petitioners, argue that the NBEMS's late changes to the exam pattern have created an unfair playing field for aspiring doctors.

NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing: Revised Hearing Date

"A consistent and uniform approach is essential," advocate Makhija asserted, highlighting the lack of specific guidelines for exam procedures. She criticized the reliance solely on an information bulletin that could be modified at the discretion of the authorities.

The Supreme Court bench expressed concern over the late changes, with Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud remarking, "It's highly unusual that three days before the exams, the exam pattern was changed and it is obvious that all students will be overwhelmed”. The CJI questioned the late changes, asking, "They say there are no regulations, everything is based on the brochure, and yet the entire exam pattern is changed three days before the exam. How can this be justified?"

However, the CBI counsel defended the changes, claiming they were not new or unusual, a claim that was dismissed by the bench. The case was initially scheduled for September 27, 2024, but the NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing has been postponed to October 4, 2024, according to the Supreme Court website.

NEET PG 2024, a competitive exam for postgraduate medical admissions, was administered to students with MBBS or BDS degrees. The results, published by the NBE on August 23, led to student dissatisfaction due to lower-than-expected rankings. A new format was implemented for this year's exam, with two shifts instead of one, and a normalization process was applied to the scores. All aspirants are now eagerly looking for a positive outcome from the NEET PG 2024 SC Hearing.
