Kerala School Holiday 5 August 2024: The Kerala State has been recieving heavy rainfall over the past several weeks and it have adversley impacted several parts of the state. The district collectors will announce the holidays for the respective districts based on the updates from the India Meteorological Department. Schools remained shut in the several districts in the state during the past week as the monsoons wrecked havoc in various parts of the state.

The death toll after the Wayanad Landslides at Chooralmala and Mundakkai stands at 350+, making it one of the worst disasters to have impacted the state
Water Level at the Mullaperiyar dam stands at 131 ft, as per the last official report. The allowed water level for the dam is 142 ft.
