JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Dates: As per the latest notification released, the National Testing Agency will be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2026 in CBT Mode in two sessions (January 2026 and April 2026). The JEE Main online application form for Session 1 will be made live on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. in October 2025. NTA will soon release the detailed JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Dates. Candidates must have passed or be appearing for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026, to apply for the JEE Main Session 1 Examination 2026. JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam: Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria to apply for the JEE Main Session 1 2026 examination are given below.
- ducational qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing for their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
- Mandatory subjects:
- B.E./B.Tech: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory, along with one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a technical vocational subject.
- B.Arch: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are required.
- B.Planning: Mathematics is the only required subject.
- Age limit: There is no age limit specified by the NTA for appearing in JEE Main. However, specific institutes may have their own criteria.
- Academic percentage: While no minimum percentage is required to appear for the exam, a minimum of 75% in Class 12 (or 65% for SC/ST) is generally required for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
Likewise, the JEE Main Session 2 Exam 2026 Registration will commence during the last week of January 2026 and the JEE Main Session 2 Examionation 2026 will be held from April 1 to 10, 2025. Candidates are advised to visit the official website of NTA for regular updates.
