JEE Main 2026 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for admissions into top engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. The exam is held twice a year (January and April) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Registration for JEE Main 2026 is expected to begin in October 2025 for Session 1, which will take place in January 2026. JEE Main 2026 Registration: Eligibility Criteria
The eligiblity criteria to apply for the JEE 2026 Session 1 examination are given below.
- To apply for the JEE Main 2026 Registration, candidates must have passed or be appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent examination in the year 2024, 2025, or 2026.
- The qualifying exam must be from a recognized board, such as CBSE, State Boards, NIOS, or an equivalent international board like GCE (A-level) or International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Candidates with a 3-year diploma approved by AICTE or a State Technical Board are also eligible.
- Physics and Mathematics are compulsory for B.E./B. Tech with an additional subject from a specified list; Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are required for B.Arch, and Mathematics is compulsory for B.Planning.
- General/OBC/EWS candidates need 75% aggregate or must be in the top 20 percentile of their board, while SC/ST candidates need 65% aggregate.
