• Let 'N' be the number of students that participated in the morning, afternoon and evening sessions of the CAT exam 
• Scaled the scores obtained in the respective session of the exam. Let 'r' be rank based on the score of all candidates who appeared for the exam. In the scaled scores in the QA section is the same for 2 or more students, the same rank will be given to all candidates.
• If 'P' is the percentile score of a candidate with rank 'r' in the QA section, then 'P' will be given by:
