GATE Exam 2025 Reporting Time, Dress Code, Do's and Don'ts: IIT Roorkee has scheduled to conduct the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 examination on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in two shifts. Shift 1 will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and Shift 2 will be held from 2:30 to 5:30 PM. Do not wear a scarf, shrug stole, or dupatta.
Avoid wearing any metal-containing clothing or items.
Do not wear any ornaments or jewellery. These items will be strictly restricted inside the exam hall.
Wear light, modest and comfortable clothes to the exam hall.
Wear sandals or flip-flops. Avoid shoes and other footwear that cover the feet.
Also, avoid goggles, rings, bracelets, watches, belts, and other similar items.

Carry all the required documents to the GATE 2025 Exam Centre.
Arrange all the required documents (GATE 2025 Admit Card/Photo ID) and accessories the night before the exam.
Arrive at the allotted exam centre at least an hour early to avoid last-minute hassle.
Read all the instructions mentioned on the screen before starting to answer the questions.
Answer all the easy questions at the beginning and keep the challenging ones for later.
Concentrate on your questions do not get distracted by other test takers.

Do not skip resting the night before the exam day. Get an adequate amount of sleep and provide the rest your body and mind are asking.
Do not skip breakfast at any cost. The exam will be of three hours and you will need the energy to take the exam.
Do not discuss the concepts and syllabus with others. It might put you in a state of confusion and doubt.
Manage your time wisely. Do not invest much time in a single question.
Do not ignore the marking scheme of the GATE 2025 Exam. Be mindful of the negative marking.
Do not panic by seeing the tricky questions. Concentrate and answer calmly.
