CUET UG and PG 2025 Exam Shift Back to Computer Based Mode: The Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG and PG) 2025 is all set to be held in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode again! As per the media reports, the University Grants Commission (UGC) is making all the necessary changes for CUET 2025. Accordingly, UGC is planning to conduct the CUET UG and PG 2025 examinations in CBT mode, a standardised 60-minute examination for all the papers. Also, candidates will have to answer all the questions and UGC will also reduce the number of foreign language papers.

UGC along with the National Testing Agency (NTA) are making these revisions to enhance the efficiency and credibility of the test. UGC officials stated, "These proposed changes will unify the testing process and eliminate the logistical complexities of hybrid exams". UGC will soon release the draft proposal inviting feedback on "CUET UG and PG 2025 Exam Shift Back to Computer-Based Mode" from the stakeholders, students, parents, and educators.
Previously, the CUET PG paper had 75 questions from various subjects including 12 foreign languages. Likewise, CUET UG had varied exam durations of 45 minutes and 60 minutes. The inaugural CUET Examination in 2022 had its challenges to face. Problems like logistical failures, technical glitches, abrupt changes in exam centres, and result announcement delays prevailed. Also, the score normalisation process faced serious criticism from students and parents which made UGC and NTA realise that the authority was not prepared to manage a high-stakes national-level examination.
To overcome all this indifference, the University Grants Commission (UGC) will propose a unified examination process. The senior officials from the education ministry feel that past incidents have called for changes and improvements.
