CUET UG, PG 2025 to Go Through Changes: In a post made on the official handlw on the social media platform X (formely Twitter), the chairman of the Union Grants Commission hinted at possible changes in the Common Univeristy Entrance Test (CUET) for UG and PG. While commenting on CUET UG, PG 2025 to Go Through Changes, Jagadesh Kumar said that it is essential to continuously improve the examination process so that it can provide a better, more efficient and conducive environment for students. To this end, the UGC has consituted an expert committee that will decide on the changes that are to made, he added.

CUET UG, PG 2025 to Go Through Changes: UGC Chairman Meets with Students
As the decision on CUET UG, PG 2025 to Go Through Changes are being made, the UGC Chairman met with several students that had qualified the CUET exam in the past during a 2 hour engagement. The purpose of the interaction was to collect the feedbacks from the students so that they can also be incorporated in the final decisions regarding the potential changes in the exam pattern.
The committee that has been consistuted has already examined the various aspects of the test including its structure, number of papers, duration of test papers, syllabus alignment and operational logistics. The recommendations that were submitted were conisdered by the commission in a recent meeting, the UGC Chairman said.
Further, by combining the reports from the committee and the student's feedback, UGC will draft and publish a proposal with the details of the revised guidelines. The commission will then take feedback and suggestions from students, parents, teachers and institutions before finalising the revised guidelines.
The CUET exams for admission to PG and UG were introduced in 2022. UGC has made changes to the conduct of the exam during the past years to make the exam process smoother. However, due to many technical issues, there have been complaints and controversies around the exam, with exams having to be postponed and rescheduled in some cases. In the light of this, UGC seems to be making efforts to avoid such situations in the future sessions of the exams.
