Telangana NEET PG 2025 Seat: The Telangana State Government has approved 85% of NEET PG seats for local students in private medical colleges. Earlier, 60% seats were reserved for non-local students; however, this move will benefit the Telangana medicos. The decision was taken by Honorable Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy after Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha made representations concerning long-pending demands from students across Telangana.
The Health Department stated that until now, management quota seats were filled through the AIQ category; however, from the 2025-26 session onwards, 85% MQ seats will be reserved only for permanent residents of Telangana. Govt Apporved 85% MQ Seats for Telangana NEET PG 2025 Medical Colleges
The Telangana government took a major decision to approve 85% reservation for locals in the management quota across NEET PG 2025 medical colleges. This pathbreaking decision will benefit local students as 318 PG medical seats and 70 dental seats are now reserved for Telangana people. Before 2025, the management quota seats in Telangana medical colleges had 60% reservation for non-local students.
In a statement, Health Minister Damodar Rajanarashima called this new policy historic and long-awaited. While speaking on the introduction of 85% seat reservation in Telangana NEET PG 2025 private colleges, the minister is hopeful that it will fulfill the dreams of the thousands of Telangana students.
This decision is expected to have a huge impact on strengthening better access to medical education for medical aspirants of Telangana.
