As per the prediction of the Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), a low-pressure area over the east-central Bay of Bengal is expected to evolve into a cyclonic storm, designated as Cyclone Dana, by October 23, 2024. - There is heavy rain in Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri on October 22. A similar situation is likely on October 23 as well.
