This will lead to heavy rainfall, wind speeds reaching up to 60 km per hour, and landfall near Puducherry and Nellore. According to the IMD, districts like Thiruvallur, Chennai, Kancheepuram, and Chengalpattu are under the red alert. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has already declared a three-day school holiday for schools and colleges.
