Maharashtra School Holiday 5 August 2024: The State of Maharashtra has been receiving heavy rainfall the past few days and it is expected to continue for a few more days. Students studying at various educational institutions can check the live updates for the Maharashtra School Holiday on 5 August 2024 here. As the India Meteorological Department announces the alerts for the various districts, the respective district administrations will announce the holidays for the schools. Once the holiday has been declared, the students must stay at home, in safety and follow any and all instructions from the officials. The authorities have issued a flood warning for the district of Pune. The rivers flowing through the district have been overflowing after some of the dams have been opened.

- August 5 | 5:46 AM || All the schools in Mumbai will function as per the scheduled time. Even though the weather remains cloudy and rain is expected on August 5 authorities have not given confirmation related to the School Holiday on August 5
- August 5 | 5:26 AM || Pune Rain Forcast: As per the latest update the rain has currently stopped in Pune. However, the weather remains cloudy and the rain is expected after 12 PM.
- August 4 | 10:00 PM || While Pune continues to be under orange alert, the weather forecast highlights that the city will be cloudy on August 5. However, the fear of flood-like situations continues due to the water released by dams.
- August 4 | 9:32 PM || The MSEDCL authorities have turned off the electricity supply to approximately 3050 customers in Pune, Pimpri city, and the talukas of Khed, Maval, and Ambegaon due to the continuous rain and dam discharge. This decision was made for safety concerns.

- The intensity of the rainfall in the state is expected to reduce from August 5.
- The heaviest rainfall has been received in the areas of the Western Ghats and the Konkan.
- Most of the states that are receiving the heavy rainfall are in coastal Maharashtra while Madhya Maharashtra hasn't been impacted that severely.
