Karnataka School Holiday 2nd August 2024: Given the severe weather conditions and hefty monsoon showers in southern India, many districts in Karnataka are experiencing heavy rainfall. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for the various districts of Karnataka. However, several districts are also under Orange and Yellow alerts. The school authorities are prioritising students' safety to avoid water logging and traffic situations. Note that the schools will remain closed in Uttar Kannada, Kodagu, Dharwad, and Dakshina Kannada districts tomorrow. Heavy rain upto 20 cms is expected in the next 24 hours.
