Is it good to wait for NIT Admission till CSAB?: The JoSAA Counselling 2024 is coming to an end with the round 5. Once the counselling process has been completed, the CSAB Counselling 2024 will commence for the vacant seats. However, there maybe doubts in the candidate's minds asking, "Is it good to wait for NIT Admission till CSAB?". While it depends on the candidate's aspirations, here are the facts.
It is higly reccomended that the candidates participate in the CSAB Counselling 2024 as there are chances of them getting a seat upgradation or being allotted new seat in CSAB after participating in Josaa rounds. If a candidate does get a better seat, it will be beneficial for them as it maybe a seat of higher preference.

The concern of most students is that the classes begin before the seat allotment of the CSAB counselling 2024. Candidates will not lag too much behind in classes as the first few days of lectures will not be covering the more important topics. Moreover, the attendance of the candidates will only be calculated from the date of joining, hence there is no issue there either.
Even in the worst case scenario, where the candidate does not get a new seat, the only loss incurred will be that of the CSAB registration fee of Rs 1500/-. If the candidate can afford to risk losing this fees, they should try applying for the CSAB Counselling 2024. In this case, as the candidate will be retaining the seat after JoSAA, they will be able to join the institute that they were allotted previously and start attending lectures without much hassle.
