Good Quality Image of Candidate’s Photograph

• Color photograph of passport size (3.5 cm width × 4.5 cm height) with the face of the candidate covering 60-70% of the photograph.
• The background of the photograph must be white and must not contain any object.
• The photograph must show the frontal face view and candidates must be looking directly into the camera.
• The photograph must show the forehead, eyes, nose, and chin of the candidate.
• Candidates must not wear any hat,mask, sunglasses or coloured glasses. Only normal spectacles for vision correction are allowed.
• Photographs can be in JPEG/JPG format.
• Minimum  aspect ratio can be 0.66.
• maximum aspect ratio can be 0.89
• The maximum pixel resolution is 530 x 690 pixels and the minimum resolution is 200 x 260 pixels. 
• The minimum file size must be of 5 kB and a maximum of 600 kB.

Good Quality Image of Candidate’s Photograph

• JPEG/JPG format
• Size with an aspect ratio (height: width) of 1 : 2.75 and  3.75.
• the area of the signature must cover 70-80% of the image.
• The minimum file size must be of 3 kB and maximum of 300 kB
• Maximum pixel resolution - 580 × 180 pixels 
• Minimum resolution - 250 × 80 pixels
• The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.

• Voter ID
• Candidates must present the same ID in original while appearing for the GATE Examination 2026.
