Cyclone Dana: Odisha School Holiday Declared for 3 Days
Due to the upcoming Cyclone Dana, the authorities have decided to provide a Odisha School Holiday for the next three days.
Odisha School Holiday: Cyclone Dana is predicted to hit the coast of Odhisha somewhere between October 23, 2024, and October 25, 2024. Therefore, the State Government of Odisha has announced the closure of all the schools, colleges, and other educational institutions in various districts between October 23, 2024, and October 25, 2024, i.e., for three days. The SRC has issued a written directive to all the schools and mass education departments to declare a three-day school holiday in almost 14 districts. These measures have been implemented based on the India Meteorological Department's forecast of potential landfall due to Cyclone Dana. All the educational institutions in the districts where a school holiday has been announced will resume from Monday onwards, i.e., on October 28, 2024. According to the official website, the districts of Puri, Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Jajapur, and Kendraparha are expected to be under yellow alert on October 23, 2024. By October 24, 2024, many of the districts, such as Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak, will be under red alert.
