A candidate will be considered as a failed candidate if he/ she fails to score at least 33% marks in each subject. However, they can appear in the same paper for the compartment exam.
Students who are not satisfied with their marks secured in the final exam even after verifying their answer sheets can apply for the re-evaluation of answers. For the re-evaluation of each answer, students need to pay INR 100 for each answer.
A student who is not satisfied with the marks secured by him/ her in the final exam can apply for the photocopy of the answer sheets after publication of the CBSE Class 12th result. For this application, all the students who are applying, must pay Rs. 700 for each subject.
To pass the CBSE Class 12th exam, a student must score at least 33% marks in each subject. Each student has to pass in the theory paper and the internal assessment to pass the CBSE Class 12th exam.

A candidate who has secured ‘D’ grade in any paper of the CBSE Class 12th Exam should have scored between 33 and 40 marks in that exam.
