What’s Next After The Release Of AFCAT 2026 Result?
Once the release of the AFCAT Result 2026, selected candidates will have to go through a rigorous multi-stage selection process. Once qualified, candidates must take these steps:
- After the result, the IAF will activate the seat selection window on official portal. Selected candidates must log in and choose their preferred Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) centre and a specific date slot.
- After selecting their slot, candidates can download their AFSB Call Letter, which contains reporting instructions, required documents, and the testing schedule.
- Candidates must start arranging their documents. The required documents include 10th and 12th mark sheets, Graduation/Degree certificates, NCC certificate (if applicable), and at least 20 recent passport-sized photos.
The exam authorities will conduct a personality and intelligence evaluation or simply interview the selected candidates for over 5 days. This will include screening, Psychological and Group Tests, and a conference. After this, recommended candidates will be sent for a thorough medical check-up at either the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME) in New Delhi or the Institute of Aviation Medicine (IAM) in Bengaluru. This can take 4 to 7 days.
Students who clear the written exam, personal interview, and medical test will receive a joining letter and instructions to report to the Air Force Academy (AFA) in Dundigal, Hyderabad, for training starting in January 2027.
