While there is no official confirmation, according to the reports, several factors appear to be contributing to this delay, primarily originating from issues with the final answer key. Initially released on April 17, 2025, the link to the JEE Main final answer key was swiftly removed from the official JEE Main website (jeemain.nta.nic.in), raising eyebrows and concerns among students.

According to this latest announcement, the final answer keys for the examination will be made available for candidates to download from the official JEE (Main) website by 2:00 PM today, April 18, 2025. Following the release of the final answer keys, the NTA has further assured that the results for JEE (Main) 2025 Session-2 will be declared no later than tomorrow, April 19, 2025. In a recent communication via the social media platform X, officials from the National Testing Agency (NTA) have provided this updated timeline for the much-awaited JEE (Main) 2025 Session-II results. 

Why JEE Main Result 2025 For Session 2 Getting Delayed?

The JEE Main 2025 Session 2 result was expected on April 17, 2025, but has been delayed. Further, the NTA briefly released the final answer key on April 17, 2025, but later removed the link from the official website.

Further, candidates and subject matter experts had reported as many as nine inconsistencies in the provisional key for Session 2. These alleged errors were across Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, some even being flagged as outside the prescribed JEE Main 2025 syllabus.

Despite the numerous objections raised, the final answer key, when briefly available, indicated that only two questions had been dropped. This discrepancy between the reported errors and the NTA's action has further fueled anxiety among the aspirants. Adding to the confusion, three questions were reportedly outside the syllabus, raising questions about the fairness of the examination.

In the meantime, candidates are reminded to check their JEE Main 2025 Session 2 results, they will need to log in to the official website using their application number and password once the link is activated. According to the recent updated shared on the X by the NTA officials, The Final Answer Keys of JEE (Main) 2025 Session-II will be available for download on the JEE(Main) website by 2 PM today, i.e. on April 18, 2025. The result of JEE(Main) 2025 will be declared latest by April 19, 2025. This updated schedule provides clarity to the anxious aspirants who have been awaiting the outcome of their performance in the recently concluded examination session.
