XAT 2026 Exam Pattern & Structure
The exam is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) with a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). It consists of approximately 95-100 questions divided into two parts:
- Part 1 (Core Sections):
- Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning (VALR)
- Decision Making (unique to XAT, focusing on ethical/managerial dilemmas)
- Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (QA & DI)
- Part 2:
- General Knowledge (GK)
- Analytical Essay Writing (evaluated only for shortlisted candidates)
