UP School Holiday Announced: As the mercury dropped, many cities in Uttar Pradesh were wrapped in fog, leading to the shutdown of schools. On Wednesday(December 17), the Bareilley district administration declared school holidays across various government and private schools. The ongoing cold waves and dense fog have disrupted the normal lives of people. To ensure the safety of school children due to a persistent increase in fog, holidays have been declared from December 18 to 20, 2025.
Bareilly saw the coldest day in the last 10 years, with the temperature dropping to 16.3 degrees. As per the additional DM, Santosh Kumar Singh, an orange alert has been issued for the next three days. Catch up on more details on UP School holiday announcements here.
Parents are hereby informed that UP Schools will remain closed for classes 1 to 8 between December 18 and 20 due to fog. The decision is taken after a significant drop in temperatures that has made travel difficult with dense fog wrapping various cities in UP. According to the latest reports, the increasing intensity of cold winds and foggy weather has slowed down morning traffic, thereby increasing the likelihood of accidents.
The Basic Shiksha Adhikari Dr Vinita strictly ordered all teh schools in the state to keep the schools closed and notify students the same. In case any school violates the order, strict actions will be taken. However, the scheduled examinations are not expected to undergo any updates as of now.
