Union Education Budget Highlights 2024: Today, July 23, 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that the central government has decided to provide Rs 1.48 lakh crore for education, employment, and skill. While presenting the budget for this year, the Finance minister announced that as financial support, they would be providing loans up to Rs 10 lakh to students for higher education in domestic institutions. Subsequently, it is expected that 20 lakh youth will be skilled over 5 years with the help of the Union Education Budget 2024.
Note that with the help of the Union Education Budget 2024, a total of 1000 ITIs are likely to be upgraded. Further, the course content and design will be aligned, keeping in consideration the industries' required skill needs. Furthermore, the authorities have come up with new centrally sponsored skilling schemes in collaboration with state governments and industries.
