TS EAMCET Fresh Mop UP Round 2024: As per the latest information shared, TS EAMCET 2024 Fresh Mop Up Round is going to be held soon by the State Education Department and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Honorable Telangana High Court’s Two-judge bench, led by Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Sreenivas Rao, has ordered this recently. According to the order of the High Court, the EAMCET authorities have to conduct a new counselling process to fill vacant seats in engineering colleges across the state.
The TS EAMCET Fresh Mop UP Round 2024 is expected to provide a second chance to eligible candidates who missed out on securing admission in the previous counselling rounds. The decision by the High Court was published after a lot of appeals were coming challenging the authority for fresh admission in several engineering institutions.
High Court's Order About TS EAMCET Fresh Mop UP Round 2024
The Telangana High Court has intervened to ensure a more inclusive admission process for the TS EAMCET 2024 engineering stream. The two-judge bench of Chief Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice J. Sreenivas Rao has directed the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) to conduct TS EAMCET Fresh Mop UP Round 2024. The order stems from appeals filed by the Vidya Jyothi Educational Society and other entities. These appeals challenged the state's decision to disregard 280 additional B.Tech-CSE seats approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) for spot admissions.
The core of the matter lies in the seemingly inconsistent treatment of various institutions. While 56 out of 70 educational institutions received permission to increase their intake capacity for this specific course, a select few, including those run by the appellants, were denied. This discrepancy was deemed "hostile discrimination" by the petitioners, arguing it unfairly disadvantaged students seeking admission.
The appellants claimed that previous admissions were not fully finalized. Due to the delayed approval of additional seats, the course hadn't commenced at full capacity. They argued that this presented an ideal opportunity for a mop-up round to fill the remaining seats. The court's order mandates that TSCHE notify all engineering institutions of their full intake capacity for the fresh mop-up round. This ensures transparency and allows students to consider a wider range of options during the counselling process.
The TS EAMCET Fresh Mop UP Round 2024 is a welcome development for aspiring engineers. It addresses the issue of unfilled seats while ensuring eligible candidates have a second chance at securing admission to their preferred institutions and courses.
