TISSNET 2024 Discarded: Admission to PG Courses to Be Based on CUET And CAT

TISSNET 2024 Discarded: The Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) has announced its decision to modify the admission process to it postgraduate courses. To answer has TISSNET 2024 been cancelled, yes it has been. TISSNET 2024 Discarded and has been replaced by CUET PG and CAT for postgraduate course. Previously, TISS NET was conducted at the national level for admission of students to Masters (Master of Arts, Master of Science and BEd-MEd integrated) programs.

Starting next academic year, the admission to all the postgraduate programmes at TISS will be based on the candidate's scores in the CUET PG exam. Moreover, the admission to the MA Human Resource Management & Labour Relations and MA in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership will be based on the candidate's CAT scores. The announcement has recieved mixed reactions from the aspirants.

To answer Why has TISS discontinued their admission test, the changes have been made in accordance with the guidelines from the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The ministry and the commission had announced it's decision to appoint the National Testing Agency (NTA) as the conducting body to shortlist candidates for all postgraduate courses in Central Universities and other participating institutes.

TISS released the TISSNET 2024 Discarded notification on Nov 14. Furthermore, the short notification said that the TISSNET PG admission 2024 details will be announced soon. Since the exam has been cancelled, candidates should not await the TISSNET 2024 Exam Date. The CUET PG exam date 2023 will be from Mar 11 to 28. CAT Exam 2023 will be conducted on Nov 26.
