Telangana School Holiday Due to Rain on 14 August 2025: Considering the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) forecast, the Telangana Government has announced a half-day holiday in Hyderabad and a full holiday in Warangal due to forecasted heavy rainfall on August 13 and 14, 2025. Schools in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) will operate only in the morning shift. 

The officials have announced holidays for all the Government and private schools in Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Mahabubabad and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts. Currently, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Jangaon, Hanumakonda, Warangal, and Mahabubabad are under red alert. Likewise, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Siddipet, Malkajgiri, Karminagar, Peddapalle, Bhupalpalle, Mulugu, and Kothagudem districts are in yellow alert.  Schools in such areas can expect Telangana School Holiday Due to Rain on 14 August 2025.

• Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed the authorities to be prepared for the next 72 hours in view of the forecast of heavy rains by the India Meteorological Department.
• A Revanth Reddy also ordered cancellation of leave of all officers and staff in view of the forecast of heavy rains for few days.
• IT companies have been asked to allow their employees to work from home (WFH) for the next three days to reduce traffic congestion and ensure the safety of commuters.
• The Hyderabad Rain and Flood Alert Authority (HYDRAA) has also advised the public to limit travel during the heavy downpour.
• All the government and private schools will remain closed until further notice from the Government.
• Residents have been advised to stay indoors, avoid stepping out during heavy rain unless absolutely necessary.
