Tamil Nadu RTE Admission 2025: The Tamil Nadu Government has released the Tamil Nadu RTE Admission Notification 2025 Today, October 6, 2025. According to the schedule, the application process for admission in private schools under the Right to Education (RTE) Act for the 2025-26 academic session will commence from October 9, 2025. The admission for the academic year is scheduled from October 6 to 17, 2025. The admission will be conducted online through the official RTE Portal only. The orphans, HIV-affected children, transgender children, children of scavengers, and differently-abled children will be given priority during admission.
According to the official notification and schedule, the school principals must identify eligible students, obtain written parental consent, and report the total number of seats filled in entry-level classes by October 7, 2025. The final list of eligible children for admission under the RTE will be released on October 14, 2025.

Here are some important instructions for the Tamil Nadu RTE 2025 admission as per the notification released.
- Admission will be conducted strictly under the RTE Act 2009 and Tamil Nadu RTE Rules 2011.
- The admission will be carried out online through the official RTE Portal only.
- Under this category and academic year, the admission will be conducted for students already admitted in the entry class level of the school.
- Schools must not charge any tuition fees or admission fees from RTE-eligible students.
- If any fee has already been collected, it must be refunded within 7 working days.
- A helpline - 14417 and email support- rteadmission@tnschools.gov.in are available for candidates’ grievance redressal and technical assistance.
