Tamil Nadu HSC English Answer Key 2026: Tamil Nadu Class 12 HSC English Exam is being conducted on the 5th of March 2026 from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm, with more than eight lakh (800,000) students registering to write Part II English papers throughout the state of Tamil Nadu. Upon completion of the exam, the TN HSC English unofficial answer key, along with the detailed question paper analysis, will be provided below. The answer key will be prepared with the help of subject matter experts. Students can make use of the answer key to estimate the marks they have gained in the English exam.

Part I (MCQs): 1 mark per correct response.
Part II (Descriptive)/Grammar: Will be awarded on content, flow, and no spelling errors.

TN HSC English Question Paper Analysis

The Tamil Nadu HSC English exam is expected to be moderate in terms of difficulty.

Part I (20 Marks): 20 (MCQs) regarding Synonyms, Antonyms, Compound Words, and Grammar. This section is anticipated to be an easy way to receive points.
Parts II and III: (35 Marks): Short and Medium Answer Questions will be in both parts. The questions will all be from the expected grammar topics (i.e. Question Tags/Active and Passive Voice & Direct and Indirect Speech).
Part IV: The Paragraphs and Essays (7 Questions with an Internal Choice) will be from the standard Prose and Poetry lessons.
Creative Writing: Both Slogan and Letter Writing will use topics that are contemporary and very relevant to students.

It is predicted that most students will find the grammar section simple, and several will find the reading comprehension passage will take careful reading to identify certain nuances.
