SSC 2025 Retest 2025: Chairman S Gopalakrishnan on Monday(August 4, 2025) declared a retest for the Staff Selection Commission phase 13 examination due to mismanagement during the examination. As per media reports, the phase 13 exam, which was held between July 24 and August 1 across 142 cities, was interrupted by software glitches, biometric verification issues, and errors in test centre allotments.
The participants faced problems when taking the exam, which led to a mass protest across Delhi. Amidst the ongoing protest, the SSC 2025 retest is expected to be held for the affected candidates soon. Catch up with the latest updates on the SSC re-examination here.
Will SSC Conduct a Retest for teh Phase 13 Examination 2025?
In a press conference with ANI, the Chairman, S Gopalakrishnan, while showing his concern for the candidates who have been victims of the commission’s mismanagement in the entrance examination, assured to conduct a retest. According to his statement, a proper plan will be laid for the upcoming SSC exam 2025. He also admitted “teething problems” and demanded penalties for system malfunctions from the new vendors.
To address the protest, the authorities held additional tests on August 2 in three shifts. Based on the reports gathered from various test centers, one centre in Delhi(Pawan Ganga) and Uttar Pradesh (Educasa) respectively saw a complete halt of the exam, thereby affecting 2,500 examinees. In some centres students detected that the use of AI has resulted in repetition of questions.
As the Chairman has shown concern towards the issues faced by the aspirants and promised to conduct a SSC 2025 retest for affected candidates, hopefully new schedule for the re-examination will be shared soon at ssc.gov.in.
