In Chennai, skies will remain mostly cloudy, with moderate to heavy rain and possible thunderstorms in several areas. Officials have suggested citizens to stay safe indoors and the TN government will most likely declare holiday to schools and colleges tomorrow, October 22, 2025. Likewise, IMD on Monday (October 20, 2025) said a low pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal within the next 24 hours, which could bring light to moderate rain in parts of Odisha over the next three days. According to the IMD, the system may intensify into a depression over the central Bay of Bengal within the next 48 hours, leading to continuous rainfall between October 22 and 26, 2025.
