The IMD has issued an orange alert in several districts of Telangana and Odisha from September 10 to 18, 2024. The rain is expected to increase gradually across the state. Andhra Pradesh is also likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfalls in several districts. The flood-like situation in Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam District and some areas in Vijayawada due to rain may lead to a school holiday on September 10, 2024. According to IMD, Telangana will experience thunderstorms, lightning, and strong surface winds.
Districts such as Mahabubabad and Khammam are likely to experience intense downpours.
Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy are under yellow alert.
Today, September 9, 2024, only Mancherial, J. Bhupalpally, and Kumaram Bheem districts are under orange alert.
Only 7 districts are likely to be under a yellow alert tomorrow, September 10, 2024.
Till September 11, 2024, IMD has predicted thunderstorm, lightning, squall, accompanied by strong surface winds in the state of Telangana.
The districts of Mulugu, b. Kothagudem, Nirmal, Mancherial, J. Bhupalpally, Kumaram Bheem, and Adilabad will be under yellow alert tomorrow.
By September 11, 2024, the weather condition in most of the districts in Telangana will get better.
