NIRF Ranking 2025: The Ministry of Education will be releasing the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025 rankings. The NIRF rankings are released annually to recognize top-performing higher education institutions in India. This year's NIRF rankings will be released with significant changes, including a new Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) category and a penalty for retracted research papers, reflecting an increased focus on academic integrity and societal contribution. Due to concerns about data verification and transparency in the Madras High Court, the Ministry of Education has delayed the release of the NIRF Ranking 2025. The NIRF rakings will be based on teaching, research, and perception.
The NIRF rankings are based on a structured methodology assessing institutions across five key parameters: Teaching, Learning & Resources, Research & Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach & Inclusivity, and Perception.
