NIFT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: The National Testing Agency has scheduled the design entrance examination from February 8, 2026, onwards across designated test centres in computer-based mode. On the exam day, candidates are requested to maintain a proper code of conduct and cooperate with the security officials during verification and frisking. As the admit card is available on the official website, test takers must download and take a printed copy.
None will be allowed inside the exam centre without producing a hard copy of the admit card. For BDes aspirants, GAT will be conducted from 10 AM to 12 noon, while CAT is scheduled between 3 PM and 6 PM. Here are some essential NIFT 2026 exam day guidelines that candidates need to abide by to appear for the exam without any hassle:
Dos:
- Candidates must arrive at the exam centres at least by 8:30 AM for the morning session. Entry inside the exam center will be prohibited 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
- Security officials will verify the admit cards and the ID cards of candidates, so we request test takers to bring one copy of both documents.
- Only a transparent water bottle and stationery items can be taken inside the exam hall.
- After enrting exam hall, candidates have to paste their photo on the attendance sheet and sign in the appropriate place.
Donts:
- Candidates producing their hall tickets on a phone or any digital medium won’t be allowed to take the test.
- Test takers should not wear clothes with multiple pockets or those with complex designs.
- Anybody resorting to unfair means during the exam will be disqualified from taking the test.
