Maharashtra Polytechnic Merit List 2025: The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra, revised the merit list publication date due to the deadline extension for registration. A provisional merit list will be published on June 28, 2025. Candidates who haven’t registered or uploaded documents for polytechnic admission can now submit their forms till June 26, 2025. As per prior notification, the online application window was supposed to be closed on June 16, 2025.
Candidates who successfully submit the application and the required documents will only be considered for merit list preparation. The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam, seat availability, choices filed, and reservation criteria. Tie-Breaking Rules for Maharashtra Polytechnic Merit List Preparation 2025
As per the revised schedule, Maharashtra Polytechnic merit list 2025 will be released provisionally on June 28, 2025. In case of two or more candiadets scoring the same marks, the following tie-breaking rules will be adopted:
- Candidates with higher marks in mathematics in class 10 will be assigned a higher rank.
- In case of a tie, candidates with a higher percentage in science will be considered.
- If the tie still exists, those with a good score in English will be given higher preference.
- If the tie remains, those qualifying HSC in the science stream will be given top priority.
- If the tie still persists, candidates who cleared HSC with a minimum competency vocational course will be considered.
- If the tie persists, candidates passing the ITI will be preferred.
- Finally, candidates securing an intermediate grade in the drawing exam will be considered.
With the publication of the provisional merit list for Maharashtra Polytechnic admission, candidates will be given the option to make necessary amendments in their forms between June 29 and 30, 2025.
