The answer to what is the last date to apply for JEST Exam 2024 is that the application portal will likely be closed in the 1st week of February. The application fee will be INR 800 and INR 400 for the General and SC/ST category candidates, respectively. The correction facility for the application form will be opened in the same week. JEST Exam Date 2024: What is the Exam Pattern?
Candidates can refer below for the JEST 2024 exam pattern:
- The exam will be conducted in the pen and paper mode
- The exam will be of a duration of 3 hours on the JEST Exam Date 2024
- All the questions in the exam will be the Multiple choice question type
- The total number of questions will be 50, with the question divided among three sections - A, B, and C
- The language medium will be English only
- As for the marking scheme, it will be different for the 3 sections as follows:
- In section A, 3 marks will be awarded for every correct and 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
- In section B, 3 marks will be granted for every correct and no negative marking will be applicable
- In section C, 1 mark will be given for every correct answer, and for every incorrect answer, 1/3 mark will be deducted
Candidates who qualify the JEST exam 2024 will be able to apply for admission to various Ph.D. and Integrated Ph.D. programmes at IISERs and other prestigious institutions.
