JEE Main Dress Code 2025 Session 2: Do's and Dont's

JEE Main Dress Code 2025 Session 2: The National Testing Agency(NTA) has not defined any specific dress code for the Joint Entrance Examination however, candidates must wear comfortable and decent clothes. As per rules, wearing caps, scarves, headgear, dark-coloured clothes, or closed shoes during verification and security checks, students might face issues. In case of any candidates preferring certain types of clothes for religious reasons, they have to undergo strict scrutinisation at the exam centre.

Besides taking care of the clothes to wear on the exam day, candidates should maintain discipline and avoid indulging in any unfair means during the exam. Those found to resort to unfair means have to face strict penalties and punishment.

Dress code for Female Candidates:

• Candidates are advised to wear simple and sober clothes with less or no embroidery.
• It is better not to put on any scarf or dupatta as it might not be allowed at the exam hall.
• For a smooth security check, it is suggested to refrain from wearing dresses that have metallic objects or heavily embroidered clothes.
• Candidates should avoid wearing any ring, bracelet, bangles, or goggles at the exam centre.

Dress code for Male Candidates:

• Male candidates should wear light and comfy T-shirts, trousers, etc at the exam centre.
• It is suggested to avoid wearing clothes that have too many pockets.
• To ensure a successful security check, candidates should not wear belts, braces, or rings.
• Shoes with thick soles won’t be allowed at the exam centre.
