DU CSAS 3 Lakh Candidate Signup for Counselling Round 2025: As per a recent notification, 3,05,357 candidate signups were recorded right from the start of the counselling registration. Out of the registered students, 2,39,890 candidates have submitted their college and program preferences for 71,642 seats across 79 undergraduate programs in 69 colleges and departments for the DU CSAS 2025. The DU CSAS 3 Lakh Candidate Signup for Counselling Round 2025 is the highest number of applications received by DU in recent years.
In Phase II of the CSAS process, candidates had to submit their preferences for programs and colleges. A whopping 1.68 crore unique college-program combinations were selected. On average, each candidate opted for 83 preferences, with the highest being 1,414.
It is important to note that the commerce programs are the most popular. B.Com (Hons.) which got the highest number of total preferences which has been 19,90,966. Followed by this, B.Com, B.A. (Hons.) English, B.A. (Hons.) Political Science, B.A. (Hons.) History were on the list of preferences. Shri Ram College of Commerce emerged as the top preference among applicants, receiving 38,795 first-choice applications. Hindu College, Hansraj College, St. Stephen's College, and Miranda House rounded out the top five most sought-after institutions.
Events Following the DU CSAS 3 Lakh Candidate Signup for Counselling Round 2025
Following the DU CSAS 3 Lakh Candidate Signup for Counselling Round 2025, the simulated ranks were held on July 15, 2025. These ranks are based on preferences submitted until July 14, 2025 until the announcement of the final allocations. Students have until 11:59 PM on July 16, 2025, to modify or rearrange their college preferences.
As per the official notification released by the authority, these predicted ranks are just rough estimates based on the scores and choices from Phase II. These rankings represent preliminary projections only and do not assure admission to any specific institution, program, or department, as the final outcomes may differ significantly. Therefore, the students shouldn't expect their final results to match these predicted ranks.
Additionally, students must remember that the first allocation list for the DU Counselling 2025 will be out on July 19, 2025, at 5 PM.
