CSIR NET Exam Dates 2025: The National Testing Agency has released the examination schedule for CSIR NET on July 8, 2025. As per the official notification, due to clashes in dates with the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test, the authorities scheduled the National Eligibility Test for a single day. Earlier, NTA had planned to conduct the examination on July 26 and 27.
As per the latest schedule, CSIR NET will be conducted for PhD admissions, JRF, and college teaching on July 28, 2025.NTA will hold the professional level entrance in CBT mode for five subjects, namely Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Highlights on the Exam Pattern for CSIR NET 2025
Candidates preparing for CSIR UGC NET examination 2025 should skim through the exam pattern and make preparation plans accordingly.
- CSIR NET will be conducted by NTA in computer-based mode across designated exam centres.
- As per the paper pattern, the question paper will be divided into three parts: Part A, B, and C.
- The total number of questions will vary based on the subject selected by the candidates.
- For the Chemical Science paper, Part A will contain 20 questions, Part B, 4 questions, and Part C, 60 questions, respectively.
- Students who have chosen a Life Science paper have to attempt a total of 145 questions from the three sections.
- The Physical Science paper will contain 75 questions, and the total questions for the Mathematics Science paper will be around 120.
- Part A will remain common for all five subjects. It will consist of general aptitude questions.
