CLAT First Seat Allotment 2025 Release Time: The registration for CLAT counselling is closed now. Registered candidates can proceed to the next step, i.e., locking their choices and confirming admission to their preferred institute. During the registration process, candidates were given the opportunity to choose up to 15 NLU preferences. Based on candidate preference and availability, a seat will be allocated. As per updates from the official notification, the first seat allotment list will be released on May 26, 2025, at 10 AM. 

Eligible candidates willing to make their selection can choose from options like freeze and float by May 30, 2025, till 1 PM. To lock NLU preferences, candidates must pay the seat confirmation fee; otherwise, candidature will be cancelled. When Will the CLAT First Seat Allotment 2025 be Released?

Types of Options to Select for CLAT First Seat Allotment 2025

During the CLAT first seat allotment 2025, candidates need to confirm their choices either by moving ahead in the admission process or exiting it. Find the types of options candidates can choose here:

• Freeze: This option is meant for those who wish to move ahead with the NLU preference they are allotted. To confirm their admission, a fee of Rs 20,000 should be paid within the given timeline.
• Float: Candidates who are not satisfied with the seat offers in the first round of counselling can choose this option and look for higher preferences in the subsequent rounds. 
• Exit: If, after registering for CLAT counselling, any candidate wishes to exit from the admission process, they can choose the exit option. In case the candidate has already chosen the freeze and float option, their seat will be reallocated to another candidate.
