CLAT 2026 Round 3 Allotment for Undergraduate Postponed: The CLAT Round 3 Seat Allotment Result for Undergraduate candidates was supposed to be released today, February 5, 2026. However, as per the judgment made by the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, the court has directed a revision of the CLAT 2026 UG merit list originally published on December 16, 2025. As a result, the CLAT 2026 Round 3 Allotment for Undergraduate candidates has been postponed until further notice. Candidates can access more information here.
CLAT 2026 Round 3 Allotment for Undergraduate Postponed: Key Highlights
Key highlights related to the postponement of CLAT 2026 Round 3 Allotment for Undergraduate candidates are given below.
- The Allahabad High Court has said that one CLAT UG 2026 question (Question 9) had two correct answers instead of one. So, both option B and option D should be treated as correct.
- Because of this, the CLAT UG 2026 rank list will be updated again. Students who chose either B or D for that question will get the marks.
- If a candidate has already got a seat in CLAT 2026 Round 1 counselling, nothing will change. Such candidates' seats will be safe.
- The Consortium also believes that the original final answer key was correct and plans to defend it in the Allahabad High Court.
- Some candidates may see a small improvement in their score or rank. However, the CLAT 2026 Round 1 seat allotments will not be disturbed.
- A new CLAT Counselling 2026 schedule will be announced following the outcome of the appeal process.
Furthermore, the CLAT Consortium ensures that candidates who have already got seats in Round 1 and Round 2 are completely safe. Their seats will not be taken away or changed, no matter what happens legally. Candidates are advised to keep tracking the official website for regular updates.
