CLAT 2025 Freeze and Float: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the CLAT 2025 Round 1 Seat Allotment result today, May 26, 2025. Candidates can check and download the seat allotment PDF at the official website- consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Soon after the CLAT Round 1 Seat Allotment 2025 result is announced, candidates whose names appear in the allotment PDF will be allowed to freeze or float their allotted seats. CLAT 2025 Freeze Option

CLAT 2025 Float Option

Candidates who are allotted seats and wish to proceed with the allotted college can freeze their seats.
Candidates who wish to freeze their seats will not be allowed to participate in the further CLAT 2025 Coounselling rounds.
Candidates who wish to freeze their allotted seats must pay INR 20,000 as seat acceptance fees within the given deadline.
Candidates who freeze their seats in Round 4 of CLAT Counselling 2025 must pay the seat acceptance fee by June 10, 2025.

Candidates who are not satisfied with their allotted seats can choose to float their seats. These candidates can wait for the further CLAT 2025 seat allotmets to release and choose the colleges as oer their preferences.
Once the float option is selected, candidates can not go back to the previously allotted NLUs.
To exercise to freeze option, candidates must pay INR 20,000 as a fee.
CLAT 2025 Float Option will only be available till Round 4 of CLAT Counselling 2025.

It is advisable for candidates to freeze their seats only when the preferred NLUs are allotted. Candidates must carefully make use of the CLAT 2025 Freeze and Float option to get their preferred seats. Also, candidates must not wait until the final round after selecting the freeze options.
