CLAT 2025 Delhi High Court Hearing Concludes: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, directed the Consortium of National Law Universities to revise and republish the final list of selected candidates of CLAT UG 2025 within four weeks. The verdict came after HC was hearing a batch of petitions pointing out certain errors in the common law admission test (CLAT) UG-2025 questionnaire and challenging the CLAT UG Results 2025. A bench of Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela accepted certain objections of the candidates while rejecting some of them.
CLAT 2025 Delhi High Court Hearing Concludes
The top court on April 9, 2025, concluded the hearing of several petitions filed in various high courts in Delhi, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Calcutta, Bombay, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Punjab, and Haryana regarding the scrutiny of questions challenged by the petitioners.
The apex court had suggested transferring the cases about fixing the CLAT Results 2025 to Punjab and Haryana High Court. They pointed out that the 1st case about the result was actually started there. Both petitioners and the consortium wanted the cases to go to one specific High Court or the Supreme Court.
In December last year, two judges comprising Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice Gedela refused to get involved in an earlier order that told the CLNUs (the law schools) to fix the CLAT 2025 results because of mistakes in the answer key.
During the last hearing, the court revealed its verdict and suggested the consortium to pick “better paper setters in the future’. It was also remarked from the singlet Judge that the errors were "demonstrably clear" and "shutting a blind eye to them" would be an injustice.
CLAT determines admission to Undergraduate and post graduate law courses in NLUs. the exam for 5 year LLB courses in NLUs was conducted on December 1, 2024 and the result came out on December 7, 2024. Now that the CLAT 2025 Delhi High Court Hearing has been in the favour of the petitioners, the students are waiting for the revised result.
