Will there be Tomorrow School Holiday in Kerala Due to Heavy Rain (August 1)?: The India Meteorological Department forecasts heavy rain the state of Kerala for tomorrow, August 1. As of 2 PM on July 31, IMD had declared orange alert for August 1 in the 5 northern districts, Kasaragode, Kannur, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram. All other districts in the state are under yellow alert for August 1. Students can expect an official announcement regarding "Will there be Tomorrow School Holiday in Kerala Due to Heavy Rain (August 1)?" in the later hours of the evening and night.

On July 31, red alert was declared in 8 districts in Kerala and following this, the respective district authorities had announced holidays for all educational institutions. Kerala is also handling one of the worst natural disasters in History at Meppadi, Wayanad after a landslide that has caused the death of over 170 people, 200 plus people missing, 100s injured and the destruction of 100s of Houses and buildings. In light of the severe situation, the whole state is under high alert as the army and disaster management personnel recover the dead bodies from the impacted areas.

Will there be Tomorrow's School Holiday in Kerala Due to Heavy Rain (August 1)?

The district authorities will announce the schools' holidays after considering the respective districts' weather forecast. Until Wednesday, there has been no announcement of school holidays. Once the announcement is made, it will apply to all schools, including colleges, state boards, CBSE, ICSC, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwadi, and madrasas.

Alert Status in the States of Kerala

IMD may change the alert status for all the districts in the coming hours. Further, the district collectors of the respective areas will declare the school holidays which will be announced through major news channels.
