School Holiday in Kerala: With the recent heavy rainfall in the state of Kerala, many students must be wondering if a School Holiday in Kerala will be provided for July 31, 2024 (Wednesday). Looking at the current situation on July 30, 2024, prominent institutions in places like Kottayam, Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad, Palakkad, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Malappuram and Thrissur are closed due to the ongoing severe weather conditions. As per recent reports from the media, almost seven districts in Kerala have already declared a school holiday for various schools and educational institutions.

Candidates must note that a few district collectors have that School Holiday in Kerala for residential schools will not be provided, and the examinations which were scheduled previously as per the routine will be conducted as usual. Teachers and other staff related to the educational institutions are required to be present, irrespective of the severe weather situation.

School Holiday in Kerala: Can Students Expect a Holiday on July 31?

There is no official announcement regarding the provision of a School Holiday in Kerala on July 31, 2024. It is expected that the authorities will provide a holiday to all the educational institutions that are currently based in the orange alert zones. As of now, the academic institutions in eight districts of Kerala are closed today, July 30, 2024.

As per the reports in Kasargod, the district collector announced in the morning that there would be a holiday for all the institutions due to heavy flooding in the streets caused by the severe rainfall. As per the collector, keeping the colleges, state board schools, CBSE schools, ICSC schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas, Anganwadi, and madrasas closed has been done as a precautionary measure.
