What’s Next After the WBJEE 2025 Result is Released?
Here’s what the candidates will need to do after the WBJEE Result 2025 is declared.
- After the WBJEE Result 2025 is declared, candidates who have cleared the exam will proceed with the counselling process.
- The WBJEE Counselling schedule and other details will be available on the official website.
- During the WBJEE Counselling process candidates will be required to register for the counselling round, and fill their choice of college and courses.
- The authorities will allot colleges to students based on the preferences filled by them during the choice-filling process, candidates’s rank, and seat availability.

The course-wise and institute-wise seat availability will be published before counselling and seat allotment.

Reservation of Seats will be available for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD/TFW/EWS category of candidates as per applicable rules set. Candidates claiming reservation must submit relevant certificates to the allotted institute during the counselling process.
Following are the requirements for Residential/Domicile Criteria:
- Candidates must be a domicile of West Bengal for admission to
- any Government-aided Engineering/ Technology / Pharmacy Colleges, 90% seats in Jadhavpur University, abd for admission to Aliah University

Here are the admission criteria for admission into Jadhavpur University in the Architecture department.
- Candidates must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in the science stream in the regular class mode of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board.
- Minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in aggregate of the (10+2) Examination (37% for SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, PwD candidates).
- Candidates must qualify for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture), conducted by the Council of Architecture (COA), New Delhi. The Results of the above examination should be valid.
Here are the criteria for admission to Jadhavpur University in the engineering department.
- Candidates must pass the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in the science stream in the regular class mode of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized Council/Board.
- Candidates must have scored individual pass marks (both in theory & practical/project wherever applicable) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Even after considering all the tie-breaking methodology the tie still continues, then the older candidate will be given preference over the younger ones.
Here is the tie-breaking methodology that will be followed if the tie continues to follow for determining merit rank:
- The candidate with less negative marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry taken together will be given priority.
- The students with more positive marks in Mathematics and Physics taken together will be given priority.
- The candidates with more positive marks in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together will be prioritized.
- Priority will be given to candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics and Physics taken together.
- The candidates with less negative marks in Mathematics and Chemistry taken together will be prioritized.
- The candidate with more positive marks in Mathematics for only the 2 (two) marks questions will be given priority.
- The candidate with more positive marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be given the rank.
- Candidates with more positive marks in Chemistry for only the 2 marks questions will be given priority.
- The students with less negative marks in Mathematics for only the 2 marks questions will be prioritized.
- The candidate with less negative marks in Physics for only the 2 marks questions will be considered.

Category Ranks reflected in the rank card is only there to provide information about category-wise rank achieved. Counselling/allotment/ and admission will be based only on GMR.
Candidates must note that admissions to all Engineering / Technology / Architecture Courses and the Pharmacy Course at Jadavpur University will be based only on GMR.
Based on the paper appeared and marks scored, the authorities will release two merit lists:
- General Merit List - Based on total scores obtained in Paper - I and Paper - II
- Pharmacy Rank List - Based on the scores of Paper - II only (Physics and Chemistry).

The admission cutoff is the branch-wise and category-wise opening and closing rank of each college. It is the minimum marks required to be scored to get admission to a particular branch in a particular college. - Enter the login credentials, such as application number and password

The board will not release the WBJEE Rank List to ensure confidentiality for each student.
Considering the past trends, general category students need to score an aggregate of 60% and reserved category students need to score 45% to pass the WBJEE 2025 exam.
